The R package project 'restatis' aims to improve and standardize the accessibility of the databases of the Federal Statistical Office. To this end, an R package is developed that allows access to GENESIS and the census database with a uniform interface and provides the information relevant to the user in a way that is optimal for further data processing, analysis and visualization.
