Want to build data skills and truly embed them in your organization? Welcome to our CorrelLAB! In our educational programs, you’ll strengthen your data skills step by step through self-study phases and online workshops, develop your own project ideas – and put them into practice together with our volunteer data scientists in the connected practical program. This way, you can apply what you’ve learned directly in the real world.

From one- to two-day Deep Dives, to one- to six-week Focus Courses, all the way to the twelve-week Fundamentals Course – there’s something for everyone. All trainings can be booked individually or as part of the Education Subscription.

CorrelLAB Fundamentals

The Fundamentals Course is your comprehensive introduction to data: learn how to identify your problems, describe them properly, and tackle them. Whether it’s automated analyses, clear dashboards, or structured data management – in this 12-week combined course, self-study phases alternate with live online sessions to introduce and apply key concepts and tools for data organization, analysis, and visualization. Practical, accessible, and directly applicable to your day-to-day work in the nonprofit sector.

Focus Course: Communicating with Data

Have you collected project data and want to present it so others can understand it at a glance? Do you see great visualizations from other organizations and think, “We need something like that – but how?” Then our course “Communicating with Data: Discovering Storytelling and Visualization” is just right for you! In this 4-day intensive or 6-week combined format, self-study phases alternate with live online sessions, so you can learn how to use charts, graphics, or stories to make the impact of your work visible. We’ll introduce you to tools, cover theoretical foundations, and help you improve your skills through hands-on exercises and lively discussions.

Deep Dive: Designing and Running Surveys

In this one-day Deep Dive, we’ll help you design and set up surveys without the headaches: whether it’s question wording or tool selection, after this course you’ll have no more question marks left (except for your respondents) and feel confident creating surveys.

Deep Dive: Artificial Intelligence

In this two-day Deep Dive, we give you an overview of AI for civil society organizations: from grant applications to social media, we’ll look at your use cases, reflect on how to use AI in line with your organization’s values, and determine which technology is best suited to your goals.

In our one-week Summer School, you can spend an hour each day leveling up your civil society organization: Whether you want to embrace the digital world or escape the data chaos – you’ll find your learning path and get picked up exactly where you are.
