In my opinion, maps are the most beautiful form of data visualisation - simple, elegant and yet rich in information. From data formats to coordinate reference systems we will explore working with geospatial data. During the workshop we will draw on examples from the recent Data Dialogue with the Bertelsmann Foundation and from my work with clients. Join me in creating your first map visualisations and analyses using the open source software QGIS. No programming skills in Python or R are required - many of the concepts are transferable to other tools.
I'm Sören Etler, a CorrelAid volunteer and freelance data analyst specialising in language and geospatial data.
Your can register here - we're looking forward to seeing you all there!
