Civic Data Lab - Espresso Talk: Your Emotional City

Cities evoke a spectrum of emotions, from positive to negative. They serve as hubs of growth, culture, and innovation, yet they also present challenges such as stress, inequality, and health issues. In the citizen science project "Your Emotional City," we use real-time data collection through an app-based Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) and GPS to explore how different aspects of urban life, from density to green spaces, impact emotional well-being. By analyzing these experiences, we aim to create emotional heatmaps that provide insights for designing healthier, more livable cities of the future.
On Tuesday, 12 Nov we have Dr Shadi from the Charité as a guest speaker in the Civic Data Community for an Espresso Talk on the topic ‘Your Emotional City’. She will present the research and the project.
The talk will be held in English ( with German slides) and then we can have an English/German discussion on the topic.
