In the Git Basics workshop we are going to deal with the what and why of version control and interactively work through the commands that you need on a day-to-day basis when managing a project with Git on your own.
Jakob will welcome you to the workshop. He is a volunteer at CorrelAid and enrolled in a data science programme at the University of Oldenburg.
Contents:
- The motivation behind version control
- A simple workflow with Git and Github
- Intro to "Git-Vocabulary"
**Target group:**The workshop is aimed at volunteers who support non-profit organizations in our data projects or are interested in doing so. However, feel free to join if you're interested in Git in general.
Format:
- 90-minutes interactive online workshop.
- Exchange with other volunteers.
- You will receive a certificate of participation for taking part.
